If you run a small business but don’t have the budget for employing dedicated IT personnel, then let us be your virtual IT department. We can handle most tasks from structured cabling to Server Administration, PC Helpdesk to specialist advice on wireless networks. We are also CRM specialists and can help you get the most out of your databases and provide integration if you run more than one database system.

Structured Cabling

In an ideal world, all your network cabling will have been installed when your building was initially fitted out. If you are planning a new project, it is always best to put the cabling in at the design/build stage. Nowadays it is not only your PC that communicates over the Ethernet network but IP phones, printers, wireless access points to name but a few. The rule of thumb is to install twice as many network points as you think you have use for. We can provide you with a detailed quote for any number of network points and infrastructure.

If you want to add network capability to an existing site, we specialise in installing extra points and small/awkward installations – previous projects include:

  • A factory in Liphook
  • A physiotherapy centre in Haslemere
  • An office in Midhurst
  • An abbey in Oxfordshire
  • An office in Godalming

Server and Network Administration

We specialise in Windows Small Business Server technology and can perform most common server administration tasks remotely via Terminal Services Remote Desktop, providing that your security policy allows.

Whether you are adding a new user, upgrading a computer on the network or managing security settings for shared files and folders we are here to take the hassle out of Server Administration and leave you to focus on your core business.

Windows Small Business Server technology also provides business class email with Exchange Server. With email being at the heart of modern business communication, a platform like Microsoft Exchange Server allows you to get the most our of email. Common setup scenarios include:

  • Mailboxes synchronised to multiple computers
  • Shared calendars and contacts
  • Public folder sharing
  • Outlook Web Access
  • Blackberry and PDA synchronisation to your Exchange Server
  • Remote workers Exchange access via Outlook

However if you do not currently have a requirement for a server or do not want the overhead for the Server Administration, we now offer Hosted Exchange Server through our partners Active Office. You can benefit from all the features of Exchange email safe in the knowledge that your valuable data is stored on fully redundant servers in a secure data centre.

For any server installation, we would start with a configuration and security audit as part of our preventative maintenance philosophy. During this audit, all system settings are recorded into our on-line secure CRM system. This enables us to provide you with the best level of ongoing advice and Server Administration.

PC Helpdesk

We can provide your users with a helpdesk for when they have problems with their PC’s. We can quickly and easily remotely log in to their computers and help resolve common user problems with word processing, printers, email and web access.

In addition we recommend an annual PC and laptop Healthcheck and Tuneup. Over time all computers get clogged up with data and tend to slow down, which greatly affects your employees productivity. This is simply another part of our preventative maintenance policy to keep your computers running at their maximum potential thereby keeping your workers working rather than getting frustrated with their PC’s.

We have a range of annual maintenance agreements tailored to suit your requirements and budget.
